About Us

The idea of establishing a college here at Laxmipur dates back to 1986 when a group of eminent persons, educationalists and local people under the able stewardship of Sri Promad Kumar Pattanaik, I.A.S., the then Sub-Collector, Koraput and Sri Rabi Kumar Mohanty, eminent Gandhian & social worker sat together on 10th September 1986. The people of this area comprising Laxmipur, Narayanpatna, Bandhugaon and Dasmanthpur the most backward area in the field of education were deprived of Higher Education due to lack of facility.

Our Services

Hostel:

The College Maintains two hostels with total accommodation of 150 boarders. Out of the two hostels one is within the college Campus for Girls Students and another is located outside the campus close to the college adjacent to the petrol tank by the main road side.

REMEDIAL COACHING CENTRE:

The colleges conduct remedial classes for slow learners. They are given special attention and encouragement for better performance in their respective subjects/courses.

LIBRARY:

The college has well maintained library as a learning resource .It has an excellent collection of Books.

 STUDENT INFORMATION BUREAU:

The student information bureau was created in the college campus. The principal nominates a member of the teaching staff as a officer in charge of the student information bureau. The bureau provides information to the students regarding financial Aid/scholar ship and facilities available in the field of education. The bureau maintains liaison with the student’s information and guidance bureau of Berhampur University.

WOMEN WELFARE:

The women welfare cell of the college has been in operation since 2014.It aim at protecting the dignity and rights of the women students, empowering them to participate equally with man in all the activities of the college. The principal appoints a leady faculty member to be in charge of the women welfare cell and some student representatives are also nominated as members
